In this article I am going to give you some pointers to help you decide what would be the best online business for you to start. I don't want to mislead so please understand I'm not going to recommend any specific businesses other than saying that information marketing is probably the easiest and most booming internet style business. Rather I want to help you consider what type of business niche would be right for you personally.
In order to decide on a particular niche for your online business you first need to look inwards and think about your strengths and experience, your interests and passions. What is it that you uniquely have to offer that will help solve a particular problem or challenge in the life of your potential customers? What is it that really gets you enthused and excited that you want everyone to know and learn to improve the quality of their life?
To be successful you need both a certain level of expertise and a real drive and desire to help others. What level of expertise do you need? You need to be at least one step ahead of your ideal clients. Indeed sometimes it can be a disadvantage if you are too far ahead of your customers as then it is more difficult for them to believe that they can really follow in your footsteps. Without a genuine desire to serve you will not create great value products and programmes, you will not be able to attract the right people to buy and enrol because people will quickly pick up whether your heart is really in it and if you really care about helping them. Any long-term, successful business must be founded on a win-win approach i.e. that both parties (you and them) get something of value.
Next you need to get clear on who you want to work with, who needs your help. The clearer you get on the characteristics and habits of your ideal client the easier it will be for you to find where they are already visiting and hanging out and so connect with them and share your message of hope - your solution to their problem.
Finally you need to be practical and do your research to find out if there really are sufficient people out there who want and need what you have to offer and are willing to pay for it.
